12 Inch Brass Gaja Lakshmi Urli
Keep it just inside the main door, on a low table or a clean spot on the floor, filled with water and a few fresh flowers. This 12 inch brass gaja lakshmi urli is the first thing guests see, and Maa Lakshmi faces them as they walk in.
At the entrance
A tall piece like this looks good at eye level when you are sitting, so a low table works well. Fill the bowl only after you place it. On Diwali and Dhanteras, float a few diyas or flowers in it. It is also a nice piece for the pooja room corner.
What it looks like
Maa Lakshmi sits on a lotus inside a round arch at the back of the bowl. She has four hands and holds lotus flowers in her upper hands. On each side of the bowl an elephant stands up on its back legs with its trunk raised, which is where the name Gaja Lakshmi comes from: Lakshmi with elephants. An open scroll border runs around the rim, and the bowl rests on three curly carved legs. It is cast in brass and then finished by hand with chisel work.
On festival days
Maa Lakshmi is believed to bring good fortune into a home that is clean and welcoming. Many families clean the lakshmi urli the night before Diwali and fill it fresh in the morning. At about 3.5 kg it is easy to carry to the sink. Dry it fully after washing so water marks do not stay.
Set it at the door before the festival, and let Maa Lakshmi welcome everyone who comes home.
What are your murtis made of?
We offer both brass and stone murtis, handcrafted by skilled artisans. The material, exact size and weight of each murti are listed in the product details on this page.
Will the murti look exactly like the photos?
Every murti is handmade, so small differences are natural. Brass murtis can vary slightly in colour and finish, and stone murtis can show natural veins, shade and texture of the stone. The design and size stay the same as shown.
How long will delivery take?
Orders within India are usually delivered in 6–10 days, with free shipping. You will receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.
Do you ship outside India?
Yes, we ship internationally. Message us on WhatsApp with your country and the murti you like, and we will share the shipping cost and delivery time.
Can I get a custom murti made?
Yes. Share the deity, material (brass or stone), size and finish you want on WhatsApp, and we will guide you on the design, price and making time.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please record a video while opening the parcel. If anything is damaged, send us the video and photos on WhatsApp and we will help you with a replacement or return as per our return policy.
How do I clean and care for my murti?
Brass: wipe gently with a soft, dry cotton cloth. Avoid water, lemon and chemical polish. Brass slowly develops a warm patina over time; this is natural.
Stone: dust with a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth if needed, and let it dry fully. Avoid acidic cleaners, soaps and harsh chemicals. Handle with care and place it on a stable, flat surface, as stone can chip if it falls.
Which payment options are available?
You can pay securely online using UPI, debit or credit cards and net banking.
