14.5 Inch Antique Brass Durga Idol on Lion

Look at Maa’s face first. Calm eyes, a soft smile, heavy earrings and a tall carved crown. Behind her head rises a big halo, its edge rolled into small waves. That face is what makes this 14.5 inch antique brass durga idol on lion feel so full of life.

The rest of the idol

Maa sits on her lion, one leg folded and the other hanging down along its side. Her many arms spread out on both sides. You can clearly see the trishul in an upper hand on one side, the mace and sword on the other, and one front hand raised in blessing.

The lion walks forward with its head held high and its mouth a little open, its thick mane cut line by line. At the back, the halo is smooth with a round disc, and the lion carries a saddle cloth with a net pattern. Every part is cast in brass and then finished by hand with chisel work. The antique finish keeps the deep cuts darker, so every line stands out.

Why Maa Durga on her lion

Durga Maa is believed to protect her devotees and win over every evil, and the lion, her vahan, stands for courage. Many families bring a maa durga brass idol home before Navratri and keep her for daily pooja after that. A brass durga murti like this can sit in the mandir for years. To keep the antique look, wipe her with a soft dry cloth and do not rub her with polish.

Light the first Navratri diya in front of her, and let Sherawali Maa watch over your home all year.

What are your murtis made of?

We offer both brass and stone murtis, handcrafted by skilled artisans. The material, exact size and weight of each murti are listed in the product details on this page.

Will the murti look exactly like the photos?

Every murti is handmade, so small differences are natural. Brass murtis can vary slightly in colour and finish, and stone murtis can show natural veins, shade and texture of the stone. The design and size stay the same as shown.

Yes. Share the deity, material (brass or stone), size and finish you want on WhatsApp, and we will guide you on the design, price and making time.

Please record a video while opening the parcel. If anything is damaged, send us the video and photos on WhatsApp and we will help you with a replacement or return as per our return policy.

How do I clean and care for my murti?

Brass: wipe gently with a soft, dry cotton cloth. Avoid water, lemon and chemical polish. Brass slowly develops a warm patina over time; this is natural.

Stone: dust with a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth if needed, and let it dry fully. Avoid acidic cleaners, soaps and harsh chemicals. Handle with care and place it on a stable, flat surface, as stone can chip if it falls.

Which payment options are available?

You can pay securely online using UPI, debit or credit cards and net banking.
