3 Inch Brass Dashavatar Box
Children love a box with a secret, and this 3 inch brass dashavatar box comes with a story on every side. On the lid, Lord Vishnu lies resting on Sheshnag, the great serpent, with its open hood spread behind his head. Round the sides, the avatars of Vishnu stand one after another in small oval panels.
Reading the lid with your children
Sit with the little ones and point out what is on top: Narayan lying on the coils of the snake, the gada by his side, and a curling vine pattern that fills every corner of the lid. Then tell them what the elders say: between the ages, Vishnu rests on the ocean, and he wakes whenever the world needs him.
The avatars, one panel at a time
Now turn the box slowly. Each panel holds one avatar, cut in raised brass, with a band of zigzag lines between them. Ask the children to name the ones they know, and keep one story for each night of the week. The fine lines on the lid were cut by hand with a chisel after casting, so small fingers can feel every detail.
The lid lifts up, and inside there is room for kumkum, akshat, a few cloves or the small things you keep for daily pooja. At 2.1 kg it is heavy for its size, so it sits firmly and is hard to knock over. If you already keep a brass vishnu murti in your mandir, this box looks right in front of him.
Some evening soon, the youngest in the house may be the one telling you about the fish, the tortoise and the boar.
What are your murtis made of?
We offer both brass and stone murtis, handcrafted by skilled artisans. The material, exact size and weight of each murti are listed in the product details on this page.
Will the murti look exactly like the photos?
Every murti is handmade, so small differences are natural. Brass murtis can vary slightly in colour and finish, and stone murtis can show natural veins, shade and texture of the stone. The design and size stay the same as shown.
How long will delivery take?
Orders within India are usually delivered in 6–10 days, with free shipping. You will receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.
Do you ship outside India?
Yes, we ship internationally. Message us on WhatsApp with your country and the murti you like, and we will share the shipping cost and delivery time.
Can I get a custom murti made?
Yes. Share the deity, material (brass or stone), size and finish you want on WhatsApp, and we will guide you on the design, price and making time.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please record a video while opening the parcel. If anything is damaged, send us the video and photos on WhatsApp and we will help you with a replacement or return as per our return policy.
How do I clean and care for my murti?
Brass: wipe gently with a soft, dry cotton cloth. Avoid water, lemon and chemical polish. Brass slowly develops a warm patina over time; this is natural.
Stone: dust with a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth if needed, and let it dry fully. Avoid acidic cleaners, soaps and harsh chemicals. Handle with care and place it on a stable, flat surface, as stone can chip if it falls.
Which payment options are available?
You can pay securely online using UPI, debit or credit cards and net banking.
