7.5 Inch Brass Saraswati Mata Murti
Saraswati Mata is believed to give the gift of words, music and learning, which is why her name is the first one many children learn to write. This 7.5 inch brass saraswati mata murti shows her in a homely, gentle way.
What the murti shows
She sits with her legs folded and her knees out, on an oval lotus base. The veena stands almost upright, leaning against her left shoulder, and her front hands rest near its body. Her two upper hands are raised. Her face is soft and smiling, and she wears a small nose ring. Long locks of hair fall on both sides of her face. Turn her around and her hair is carved all the way down her back, with a round ornament on top of her head. It has an antique polish: the grooves are a little darker, so the carving stands out. It is cast in brass and finished by hand with chisel work.
Where to place her
A mandir shelf, a study room or a music room all suit her. Many families like to keep her so that she faces the person studying. At about 2.4 kg she sits steady and is still easy to lift when you clean.
Is this the same as a saraswati idol?
Yes. Murti, idol and statue all mean the same thing. Saraswati Mata, Maa Saraswati and Sharada are all names of the same goddess.
Seat her on a yellow cloth this Vasant Panchami, and let the children keep their books at her feet.
What are your murtis made of?
We offer both brass and stone murtis, handcrafted by skilled artisans. The material, exact size and weight of each murti are listed in the product details on this page.
Will the murti look exactly like the photos?
Every murti is handmade, so small differences are natural. Brass murtis can vary slightly in colour and finish, and stone murtis can show natural veins, shade and texture of the stone. The design and size stay the same as shown.

Do you ship outside India?
Yes, we ship internationally. Message us on WhatsApp with your country and the murti you like, and we will share the shipping cost and delivery time.
Can I get a custom murti made?
Yes. Share the deity, material (brass or stone), size and finish you want on WhatsApp, and we will guide you on the design, price and making time.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please record a video while opening the parcel. If anything is damaged, send us the video and photos on WhatsApp and we will help you with a replacement or return as per our return policy.
How do I clean and care for my murti?
Brass: wipe gently with a soft, dry cotton cloth. Avoid water, lemon and chemical polish. Brass slowly develops a warm patina over time; this is natural.
Stone: dust with a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth if needed, and let it dry fully. Avoid acidic cleaners, soaps and harsh chemicals. Handle with care and place it on a stable, flat surface, as stone can chip if it falls.
Which payment options are available?
You can pay securely online using UPI, debit or credit cards and net banking.
