7 Inch Brass Durga Mata Idol on Lion
On the first morning of Navratri, families sow jau in a small pot, set up the kalash and seat Maa in the middle of the mandir. This 7 inch brass durga mata idol is a good size for that: big enough to be the centre of the sthapana, small enough for a home shelf.
Using her for Navratri
Place her on a red cloth on a small chowki, with the kalash on her right. Offer a red chunri and a flower each day, and light the akhand jyot in front of her if your family keeps it. At about 1.8 kg she sits steady on a narrow chowki, and you can lift her with one hand when you change the cloth. After Dussehra she can stay in the mandir for daily pooja.
What you see
Maa sits side-saddle on her lion, one foot hanging down. Her raised hands hold a curved sword, a trishul, a mace and a bow, and one front hand blesses you. The lion stands on its four legs and looks straight at you, its mane cut line by line. Turn her around and you will find a big round halo carved like a flower behind her head, her hair falling down her back and a lotus carved on the lion’s saddle cloth. Every part is cast in brass and finished by hand with chisel work.
Care
Wipe off sindoor and oil with a dry cloth the same day. A soft brush helps clean the halo and the mane.
Seat her for the first Navratri, and keep the lamp of devotion burning before her long after the nine days.
What are your murtis made of?
We offer both brass and stone murtis, handcrafted by skilled artisans. The material, exact size and weight of each murti are listed in the product details on this page.
Will the murti look exactly like the photos?
Every murti is handmade, so small differences are natural. Brass murtis can vary slightly in colour and finish, and stone murtis can show natural veins, shade and texture of the stone. The design and size stay the same as shown.
How long will delivery take?
Orders within India are usually delivered in 6–10 days, with free shipping. You will receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.
Do you ship outside India?
Yes, we ship internationally. Message us on WhatsApp with your country and the murti you like, and we will share the shipping cost and delivery time.
Can I get a custom murti made?
Yes. Share the deity, material (brass or stone), size and finish you want on WhatsApp, and we will guide you on the design, price and making time.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please record a video while opening the parcel. If anything is damaged, send us the video and photos on WhatsApp and we will help you with a replacement or return as per our return policy.
How do I clean and care for my murti?
Brass: wipe gently with a soft, dry cotton cloth. Avoid water, lemon and chemical polish. Brass slowly develops a warm patina over time; this is natural.
Stone: dust with a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth if needed, and let it dry fully. Avoid acidic cleaners, soaps and harsh chemicals. Handle with care and place it on a stable, flat surface, as stone can chip if it falls.
Which payment options are available?
You can pay securely online using UPI, debit or credit cards and net banking.
