8 Inch Brass Kamdhenu Cow and Calf Idol
Pick it up and turn it around once, and three things stand out on this 8 inch brass kamdhenu cow and calf idol.
The calf. The little calf stands under its mother and drinks her milk, head lifted up. It is the sweetest part of the piece, and the reason most people choose a cow with calf over a cow alone.
The carved cloth. The cow wears a decorated cloth on her back. On one side, Ganesh ji sits in the middle of it, with a row of tassels along the border. The calf has its own small cloth too. A carved band runs around her neck, and her horns curve up and forward.
The raised base. Both stand on a flat base that rests on four short curved feet, so the piece looks finished from every side. At 4.1 kg it is heavy enough to sit firm on a shelf.
Kamdhenu is the holy cow of wishes, and a cow with her calf is believed to bless a happy, growing family. Many people keep one in the pooja room or near the entrance, and it is a well loved gift for a griha pravesh. After casting, it is finished by hand with chisel work, which shows in the fine lines of the cloth and the neck band. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth to keep it bright.
Keep the mother and calf together in your mandir, and let them watch over your family the same way.
What are your murtis made of?
We offer both brass and stone murtis, handcrafted by skilled artisans. The material, exact size and weight of each murti are listed in the product details on this page.
Will the murti look exactly like the photos?
Every murti is handmade, so small differences are natural. Brass murtis can vary slightly in colour and finish, and stone murtis can show natural veins, shade and texture of the stone. The design and size stay the same as shown.
How long will delivery take?
Orders within India are usually delivered in 6–10 days, with free shipping. You will receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.
Do you ship outside India?
Yes, we ship internationally. Message us on WhatsApp with your country and the murti you like, and we will share the shipping cost and delivery time.
Can I get a custom murti made?
Yes. Share the deity, material (brass or stone), size and finish you want on WhatsApp, and we will guide you on the design, price and making time.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please record a video while opening the parcel. If anything is damaged, send us the video and photos on WhatsApp and we will help you with a replacement or return as per our return policy.
How do I clean and care for my murti?
Brass: wipe gently with a soft, dry cotton cloth. Avoid water, lemon and chemical polish. Brass slowly develops a warm patina over time; this is natural.
Stone: dust with a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth if needed, and let it dry fully. Avoid acidic cleaners, soaps and harsh chemicals. Handle with care and place it on a stable, flat surface, as stone can chip if it falls.
Which payment options are available?
You can pay securely online using UPI, debit or credit cards and net banking.
