10 Inch Green Stone Standing Ganesh Idol for a Home Mandir
A stone murti asks for a little more care than a brass one, and in return it looks the same for generations. This 10 inch green stone standing ganesh idol is carved by hand from a green stone with a soft grey tone, so let us start with what it needs.
Ganpati in green stone
Ganesh ji stands with one knee bent and lifted, as if about to take a step. A round prabhavali with a carved rim rises behind his head. One right hand is raised to bless, his long trunk curves to one side, and his belly is round over a dhoti carved in neat lines. He stands on a two step base with a carved border.
Cleaning a stone Ganesh
Dust him with a soft dry paintbrush. If you must use water, wipe with a damp cloth and dry him at once. Never use lemon, tamarind or brass polish on stone, as they can leave marks.
Keeping him safe on the shelf
Stone can chip if it falls. He is only 2.3 inch deep, so a narrow shelf is fine, but push him back against the wall and away from the edge, out of reach of small hands.
Can I do abhishek on a stone Ganesh?
A little water is fine if you dry him well afterwards. Skip milk and oil, which can stain stone.
Why are some parts lighter in colour?
That is the natural grain of the stone. No two stone murtis have exactly the same shade.
Keep the paintbrush in the mandir drawer. A quick dusting every Wednesday keeps him clean.
What are your murtis made of?
We offer both brass and stone murtis, handcrafted by skilled artisans. The material, exact size and weight of each murti are listed in the product details on this page.
Will the murti look exactly like the photos?
Every murti is handmade, so small differences are natural. Brass murtis can vary slightly in colour and finish, and stone murtis can show natural veins, shade and texture of the stone. The design and size stay the same as shown.

How do I clean and care for my murti?
Brass: wipe gently with a soft, dry cotton cloth. Avoid water, lemon and chemical polish. Brass slowly develops a warm patina over time; this is natural.
Stone: dust with a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth if needed, and let it dry fully. Avoid acidic cleaners, soaps and harsh chemicals. Handle with care and place it on a stable, flat surface, as stone can chip if it falls.
Which payment options are available?
You can pay securely online using UPI, debit or credit cards and net banking.
