38 Inch Brass Krishna Diya That Stands on the Floor
Floor space is all this lamp needs. This 38 inch brass krishna diya stands about as high as a dining table, so it does not go on a shelf or a table at all: it stands on the floor beside your mandir or at the door of the pooja room.
Moving a 9 kg lamp
It weighs 9 kg, so lift it with one hand at the stem just above the base and the other under the lowest tray. Never lift it by Krishna or the arch at the top. Stand it on a flat floor, away from curtains, and keep children’s hands clear of the trays when the wicks are lit.
Three trays and Krishna at the top
The lamp has three wide trays with petal edges, one above the other, where you set the wicks. Between the trays, pairs of annapakshi birds with curling tails sit on the stem. At the very top, Krishna stands on a small cup, playing his flute, one foot crossed over the other. A tall carved arch rises behind his head like a peacock’s fan, with a tassel hanging down on each side. The base stands on carved feet with open scroll work.
People often ask whether it is only for big festivals. Many families light just the lowest tray every evening and all three on Diwali, Karthigai and Janmashtami. In the South it would be called a brass kuthu vilakku; anywhere else, simply a tall brass lamp for the pooja room.
With all three trays lit, Krishna seems to play his flute inside a ring of flames.
What are your murtis made of?
We offer both brass and stone murtis, handcrafted by skilled artisans. The material, exact size and weight of each murti are listed in the product details on this page.
Will the murti look exactly like the photos?
Every murti is handmade, so small differences are natural. Brass murtis can vary slightly in colour and finish, and stone murtis can show natural veins, shade and texture of the stone. The design and size stay the same as shown.
How long will delivery take?
Orders within India are usually delivered in 6–10 days, with free shipping. You will receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.
Do you ship outside India?
Yes, we ship internationally. Message us on WhatsApp with your country and the murti you like, and we will share the shipping cost and delivery time.
Can I get a custom murti made?
Yes. Share the deity, material (brass or stone), size and finish you want on WhatsApp, and we will guide you on the design, price and making time.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please record a video while opening the parcel. If anything is damaged, send us the video and photos on WhatsApp and we will help you with a replacement or return as per our return policy.
How do I clean and care for my murti?
Brass: wipe gently with a soft, dry cotton cloth. Avoid water, lemon and chemical polish. Brass slowly develops a warm patina over time; this is natural.
Stone: dust with a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth if needed, and let it dry fully. Avoid acidic cleaners, soaps and harsh chemicals. Handle with care and place it on a stable, flat surface, as stone can chip if it falls.
Which payment options are available?
You can pay securely online using UPI, debit or credit cards and net banking.
