4.5 Inch Brass Varahi Devi Idol with Frame
Who is shown in this idol?
This 4.5 inch brass varahi devi idol with frame shows Varahi Devi with the face of a boar. She is one of the Saptamatrikas, believed to guard her devotees and take away fear, and many families pray to her on Panchami.
What is the frame?
It is a prabhavali, a carved arch that rises from the base and curves over her crown. Rolled leaf patterns run along its edge, and a kirtimukha, the lion-like face of glory, sits at the very top. The frame makes a small idol look complete, like a tiny temple, which is why buyers look for a varahi amman idol with prabhavali.
What can I see on her?
She sits with one leg folded and the other stepping down, on a stepped square base. Her many arms spread out on both sides, and one front hand is raised in blessing. A tall crown sits on her head. From the back you see the plain back of the arch and a round disc behind her crown.
Is it solid, and will it turn dark?
It is cast in brass and finished by hand with chisel work, so it is strong and will not bend. Like all brass, it slowly turns darker with air and oil from daily pooja. A gentle rub with lemon and a pinch of salt once a month, then a rinse and a dry cloth, brings the shine back.
Where should I keep her?
At about 0.6 kg, she fits a small home mandir or a shelf at eye level.
Set her in her little arch on the next Panchami, and let your evening prayer begin with her name.
What are your murtis made of?
We offer both brass and stone murtis, handcrafted by skilled artisans. The material, exact size and weight of each murti are listed in the product details on this page.
Will the murti look exactly like the photos?
Every murti is handmade, so small differences are natural. Brass murtis can vary slightly in colour and finish, and stone murtis can show natural veins, shade and texture of the stone. The design and size stay the same as shown.

How do I clean and care for my murti?
Brass: wipe gently with a soft, dry cotton cloth. Avoid water, lemon and chemical polish. Brass slowly develops a warm patina over time; this is natural.
Stone: dust with a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth if needed, and let it dry fully. Avoid acidic cleaners, soaps and harsh chemicals. Handle with care and place it on a stable, flat surface, as stone can chip if it falls.
Which payment options are available?
You can pay securely online using UPI, debit or credit cards and net banking.
