5 Inch Brass Kamakshi Amma Idol
If you pray to Kamakshi Amma and your mandir has room only for a small murti, this 5 inch brass kamakshi amma idol is made for you. She is small, but every part of her is clear.
What you can see
- Devi seated cross-legged, calm face with a bindi and a tall crown
- Four hands; the front right hand raised in blessing
- A long leafy stalk held upright in the front left hand
- A halo carved like flower petals behind her crown
- Necklaces, armbands and the pleats of her sari carved line by line
- A round base with curling scroll work all around
Where she fits
At about 950 grams she is steady on a narrow mandir shelf, a small chowki or beside your other devi murtis. Keep her a little above your eye level when you sit for pooja. She is also small enough for a travel mandir.
What she means
Kamakshi Amma of Kanchipuram is believed to fulfil the wishes of her devotees with a kind look, and many South Indian families keep a kamakshi amman idol for Friday pooja and for Navratri golu. Some also know her as Kanchi Kamakshi or Lalitha. It is cast in brass and finished by hand with chisel work.
Is it solid? Yes, it is cast brass, so it feels heavy for its size and stays bright with a dry wipe.
Can it be a gift? Yes. It is a good size for a newly married couple or a griha pravesh.
Light a small lamp before Kamakshi Amma on Friday evening, and offer her a little kumkum with your prayer.
What are your murtis made of?
We offer both brass and stone murtis, handcrafted by skilled artisans. The material, exact size and weight of each murti are listed in the product details on this page.
Will the murti look exactly like the photos?
Every murti is handmade, so small differences are natural. Brass murtis can vary slightly in colour and finish, and stone murtis can show natural veins, shade and texture of the stone. The design and size stay the same as shown.
How long will delivery take?
Orders within India are usually delivered in 6–10 days, with free shipping. You will receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.
Do you ship outside India?
Yes, we ship internationally. Message us on WhatsApp with your country and the murti you like, and we will share the shipping cost and delivery time.
Can I get a custom murti made?
Yes. Share the deity, material (brass or stone), size and finish you want on WhatsApp, and we will guide you on the design, price and making time.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please record a video while opening the parcel. If anything is damaged, send us the video and photos on WhatsApp and we will help you with a replacement or return as per our return policy.
How do I clean and care for my murti?
Brass: wipe gently with a soft, dry cotton cloth. Avoid water, lemon and chemical polish. Brass slowly develops a warm patina over time; this is natural.
Stone: dust with a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth if needed, and let it dry fully. Avoid acidic cleaners, soaps and harsh chemicals. Handle with care and place it on a stable, flat surface, as stone can chip if it falls.
Which payment options are available?
You can pay securely online using UPI, debit or credit cards and net banking.
