6.2 Inch Brass Durga Mata Idol Seated on Lion

Sherawali Maa rides into every Navratri on her lion. She is believed to protect her devotees and to win over every evil that troubles them. This 6.2 inch brass durga mata idol shows her seated on that lion, calm in the face, with her weapons ready in her many hands.

What the idol shows

Maa sits sideways on the lion’s back with one leg folded and one foot hanging down. Her hands hold a curved sword, a chakra, a mace, a trishul and a bow, and one hand at the front is raised in blessing. A tall crown sits on her head with a round flower halo behind it. The lion walks to one side and turns its face to you, with a thick mane and a curled tail, and a carved saddle cloth lies under her. From the back you can see her long hair in fine lines and the lion’s mane cut like feathers. It is cast in brass and finished by hand with chisel work.

Where to keep her

At 1.2 kg she is easy to move for cleaning. A home mandir shelf, a small chowki or the Navratri kalash corner suits her well. Keep her a little above eye level, with room for a diya in front.

Is this a good durga maa brass idol for daily pooja? Yes. The size is right for a small mandir, and a dry cloth once a week keeps her clean. Many buyers also pick a durga statue of this size as a Navratri gift for family.

Light a lamp before Maa on the first day of Navratri, and keep her blessing with your family through all nine days and after.

What are your murtis made of?

We offer both brass and stone murtis, handcrafted by skilled artisans. The material, exact size and weight of each murti are listed in the product details on this page.

Will the murti look exactly like the photos?

Every murti is handmade, so small differences are natural. Brass murtis can vary slightly in colour and finish, and stone murtis can show natural veins, shade and texture of the stone. The design and size stay the same as shown.

How long will delivery take?

Orders within India are usually delivered in 6–10 days, with free shipping. You will receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.

Do you ship outside India?

Yes, we ship internationally. Message us on WhatsApp with your country and the murti you like, and we will share the shipping cost and delivery time.

Can I get a custom murti made?

Yes. Share the deity, material (brass or stone), size and finish you want on WhatsApp, and we will guide you on the design, price and making time.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Please record a video while opening the parcel. If anything is damaged, send us the video and photos on WhatsApp and we will help you with a replacement or return as per our return policy.

How do I clean and care for my murti?

Brass: wipe gently with a soft, dry cotton cloth. Avoid water, lemon and chemical polish. Brass slowly develops a warm patina over time; this is natural.

Stone: dust with a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth if needed, and let it dry fully. Avoid acidic cleaners, soaps and harsh chemicals. Handle with care and place it on a stable, flat surface, as stone can chip if it falls.

Which payment options are available?

You can pay securely online using UPI, debit or credit cards and net banking.
