On Sankranti and every Sunday
Hang it on a wall that gets the morning light, or above the main door. On Sankranti, Ratha Saptami or any Sunday, wipe it clean, offer a little water and a flower below it, and say a short prayer to Surya Dev. Many families believe a sun face near the entrance brings good luck to the home. At 0.8 kg it needs just one strong nail or screw through the loop at the top.
What you see on it
The sun face is round and full, with calm eyes under arched brows, a straight nose and a small closed smile. Around it run two rings of pointed rays. Each ray has fine lines cut along it, so the light catches them one by one and the edge seems to move as you walk past. The face is left smooth and bright while the cut lines in the rays look darker, so you can make out the face even from across the room. After casting in brass, every line is finished by hand with chisel work.
Dust it with a soft dry cloth once a week. Before a festival, a little lemon and salt on a cloth brings the shine back; wipe it dry after.

What if my order arrives damaged?
Please record a video while opening the parcel. If anything is damaged, send us the video and photos on WhatsApp and we will help you with a replacement or return as per our return policy.
How do I clean and care for my murti?
Brass: wipe gently with a soft, dry cotton cloth. Avoid water, lemon and chemical polish. Brass slowly develops a warm patina over time; this is natural.
Stone: dust with a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth if needed, and let it dry fully. Avoid acidic cleaners, soaps and harsh chemicals. Handle with care and place it on a stable, flat surface, as stone can chip if it falls.
