Yes, we make custom brass idols. Send us a photo or a simple sketch, the size you want and your budget. We make a clay model first, you check it, and only then the idol is cast in brass and finished by hand. Most custom brass idols take about a month; big pieces take longer.

There are lakhs of brass idol designs in the market, but sometimes the one you have in mind is not there: the right size is missing, the pose is different, or it is a form of the deity that nobody makes. That is when a custom order makes sense.

When should you order a custom brass idol?

  • You like an idol on our website, but you need it bigger or smaller.
  • You want a family deity or a form of the deity that shops do not keep.
  • You saw a murti in a temple or in an old photo and want one like it.
  • You need a wall hanging, a name plate, coins or a gift piece made to a size.

How we make a custom idol, step by step

  1. You share the idea: a photo, a sketch or a few lines, plus the size and the budget.
  2. Clay model: our karigars shape the design in clay or a similar material.
  3. You check it: we send you photos of the model, and you ask for any change in pose, face or detail.
  4. Casting: once you say yes, the model is cast in brass. Bronze, panch dhatu or copper can also be done on request.
  5. Hand finishing: every piece is finished by hand with chisel work (chhenai) after casting, so the face, jewellery and clothes come out sharp.
  6. Packing and delivery: the idol is packed for the trip and sent to you.

Custom orders we have made

A 2.5 foot brass Ganesh wall hanging

One customer looked everywhere for a Ganesh wall hanging of exactly 2.5 feet and could not find it. We made a clay model from his description and sent him photos. He asked for a small change in the pose and finer details, we made the changes, and the piece was cast in brass. It took 28 days, and he finally had the size he wanted.

The same Hanuman idol, made bigger

Another customer liked our 16.5 inch brass Hanuman idol but wanted the same idol in 2 feet. Making a piece bigger is not just stretching it: every line of the face, the mace and the clothes has to be shaped again at the new size. Our karigars kept each detail like the original, and the customer got the same Hanuman, only taller.

A small silver murti, repaired

Not every job is new. A customer once asked us to repair a small custom idol in pure silver. It took two months of careful work to bring it back.

Coins, name plates and small gifts

We also make custom brass coins, name plates and small statues, as one piece or in bulk.

How long it takes and what decides the cost

  • Time: at least one month for most pieces. Big idols and detailed work take longer.
  • Size and weight: a bigger idol uses more metal, so it costs more.
  • Detail: fine jewellery, many hands or a busy base need more hand work.
  • Metal: brass is the usual choice; bronze, panch dhatu and copper cost more.

Send a clear idea, give it some time and a fair budget, and we take care of the rest.

Questions people ask

Can you make an idol from a photo?

Yes. A clear photo from the front helps most. If you have photos from the side and the back, send them too.

Can you make one of your website idols in a bigger size?

Yes, this is the most common custom order. Tell us the product and the size you need.

Will I see it before it is cast?
