Back of the brass Bal Krishna showing the ridged shell canopy and round base

7 Inch Brass Bal Krishna Idol in Shell

That big open shell is the first thing everyone notices. It curves up behind little Krishna like a canopy, and a smaller shell forms the seat he sits in.

Now look at his face. This 7 inch brass bal krishna idol in shell shows Krishna as a small child with a wide, happy smile and round cheeks. His hair is tied up in a top knot, and there is a tilak on his forehead.

Below that he wears layers of necklaces, with bands on his arms. He sits with his legs crossed and his hands resting on his lap and knee.

The shell seat stands on a plain round base. Turn it around and the back of the shell shows deep ridges all the way up, with a darker antique tone in the grooves. The piece is cast in brass and then finished by hand with chisel work.

Bal Krishna, also called Bal Gopal, is Lord Krishna as a little child. Families keep a bal krishna idol at home believing he brings joy and keeps the house lively, just like a small child does. Many also search for him as a bal gopal idol. He fits well in a small home temple or on a side table. At about 2.1 kg he is easy to lift and move.

For care, dust the shell lines with a soft dry brush and wipe the face and body with a dry cloth.

Put him where you pass by every day. That smile is hard to walk past without smiling back.

About Our Products

We offer authentic brass idols, stone idols, and handmade Pattachitra paintings. Each piece is handmade by skilled artisans, so slight variations in colour, finish, texture, or size are natural and make every piece unique. These are handcrafted items, not machine-made products.

Colour & Finish

As these are handmade, the natural colour and finish may vary slightly from the photos depending on light and screen. Over time, brass may develop a natural antique tone — this is normal and does not affect quality.
