8 Inch Brass Sitting Nandi Statue

Meant for a Shiva mandir at home or a temple shelf, this 8 inch brass sitting nandi statue shows Nandi ji resting with his legs folded, head up and ears forward, as if he is listening for Bholenath.

What you can see

  • Short pointed horns with rings at the base, and a carved band on his forehead
  • A thick necklace with a row of small bells around his neck
  • A round, smooth hump on his back
  • A cloth on his back full of small flowers, with an Om on one side and a swastik on the other
  • Anklets on his legs and a long tail curled around the back leg

Where to keep him

Place Nandi facing your Shivling or Shiva murti, the way he sits in front of every Shiva temple. He is wider than he is tall, so leave a little room in front of the altar. At 6.3 kg he sits firmly and will not move when you clean around him. After casting, he is finished by hand with chisel work, which you can see in the bells and the flowers on the cloth.

Why Nandi

Nandi is the vahan of Lord Shiva and his closest devotee. Many people whisper their wish in his ear, believing he will pass it on to Mahadev.

Can he stand outside the mandir? Yes, he looks good on a living room shelf too, though most families keep him facing Shiva.

How do I clean it? Wipe with a soft dry cloth. For dull spots, use a little tamarind or lemon, then rinse and dry well, especially between the bells.

Seat him in front of Mahadev before Shivratri, and your mandir will be ready for the big night.

What are your murtis made of?

We offer both brass and stone murtis, handcrafted by skilled artisans. The material, exact size and weight of each murti are listed in the product details on this page.

Will the murti look exactly like the photos?

Every murti is handmade, so small differences are natural. Brass murtis can vary slightly in colour and finish, and stone murtis can show natural veins, shade and texture of the stone. The design and size stay the same as shown.

How long will delivery take?

Orders within India are usually delivered in 6–10 days, with free shipping. You will receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.

Do you ship outside India?

Yes, we ship internationally. Message us on WhatsApp with your country and the murti you like, and we will share the shipping cost and delivery time.

Can I get a custom murti made?

Yes. Share the deity, material (brass or stone), size and finish you want on WhatsApp, and we will guide you on the design, price and making time.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Please record a video while opening the parcel. If anything is damaged, send us the video and photos on WhatsApp and we will help you with a replacement or return as per our return policy.

How do I clean and care for my murti?

Brass: wipe gently with a soft, dry cotton cloth. Avoid water, lemon and chemical polish. Brass slowly develops a warm patina over time; this is natural.

Stone: dust with a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth if needed, and let it dry fully. Avoid acidic cleaners, soaps and harsh chemicals. Handle with care and place it on a stable, flat surface, as stone can chip if it falls.

Which payment options are available?

You can pay securely online using UPI, debit or credit cards and net banking.
