7 Inch Brass Mari Amma Idol
Mari Amma, also called Mariamman, is the mother goddess of South Indian villages, believed to keep the family and the whole street safe. This 7 inch brass mari amma idol shows her the way many temples show her.
How this murti shows her
She sits on a raised seat with one leg folded, and her other foot rests on the head of an asura (demon) at the front of the base. A snake with many heads opens its hood above her crown. She has four hands, and one upper hand holds a trishul. Her face is calm, with a small smile. A tall arch frames her from behind, with a kirtimukha, the lion-like face of glory, at the top. Even the back is finished, with the scale pattern of the snake and a round flower behind her head. It is cast in brass and then finished by hand with chisel work.
Where to keep her
At about 1.7 kg she sits steady on a home mandir shelf, a pooja cupboard or a small shop temple. Place her on a clean cloth, a little above eye level if you can.
Is she the same as Karumari Amman?
Many families call this form, with the snake hood over her head, Karumari Amman. Pray to her by the name your family uses.
How do I clean it?
Wipe with a soft dry cloth and use a soft brush on the arch. After abhishekam with water or milk, dry it fully the same day.
Buyers looking for a small mariamman statue for daily pooja often pick this size. May Amma watch over your home and everyone in it.
What are your murtis made of?
We offer both brass and stone murtis, handcrafted by skilled artisans. The material, exact size and weight of each murti are listed in the product details on this page.
Will the murti look exactly like the photos?
Every murti is handmade, so small differences are natural. Brass murtis can vary slightly in colour and finish, and stone murtis can show natural veins, shade and texture of the stone. The design and size stay the same as shown.
How long will delivery take?

Yes, we ship internationally. Message us on WhatsApp with your country and the murti you like, and we will share the shipping cost and delivery time.
Can I get a custom murti made?
Yes. Share the deity, material (brass or stone), size and finish you want on WhatsApp, and we will guide you on the design, price and making time.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please record a video while opening the parcel. If anything is damaged, send us the video and photos on WhatsApp and we will help you with a replacement or return as per our return policy.
How do I clean and care for my murti?
Brass: wipe gently with a soft, dry cotton cloth. Avoid water, lemon and chemical polish. Brass slowly develops a warm patina over time; this is natural.
Stone: dust with a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth if needed, and let it dry fully. Avoid acidic cleaners, soaps and harsh chemicals. Handle with care and place it on a stable, flat surface, as stone can chip if it falls.
Which payment options are available?
You can pay securely online using UPI, debit or credit cards and net banking.
