Laxmi Idols

Laxmi idol in brass for your home mandir and Diwali pooja: Laxmi Maa seated on a lotus, standing, with Narayan, with Ganesh ji or as Gaja Laxmi.

Laxmi Idol in Brass for Home and Temple

Every Diwali, families clean the mandir, light diyas and seat Laxmi Maa in the middle of it all. Choosing the right laxmi idol is easier when you can see every form together, so this page has all our brass Laxmi murtis in one place.

What you will find here

  • Laxmi Maa alone: seated on a lotus with lotus flowers in her upper hands, or standing, in plain golden brass or antique polish.
  • Laxmi Narayan: Laxmi Maa with Lord Vishnu, standing as a pair or seated together on Sheshnag, like our Laxmi Narayan murti on Sheshnag.
  • Ganesh Laxmi: the two most loved Diwali deities, as one piece or as a pair.
  • Gaja Laxmi and Ashta Laxmi pieces: wall hangings and urlis with Laxmi Maa at the centre.
  • Laxmi Narasimha: Lord Narasimha with Laxmi Maa on his lap.

Sizes

The smallest pieces are about 2.6 inch, small enough for a car dashboard or a travel pooja box. Most home mandirs use something between 5 and 12 inch. The biggest idols go up to 32 inch and are made for temples and big pooja rooms. Every product page lists the exact height and weight.

How to choose

Measure your mandir shelf first, height and depth. Leave a little space above the crown and in front for the diya. For a small family mandir, a seated Laxmi Maa of 6 to 9 inch is the usual choice. If you want both Vishnu and Laxmi, see the Laxmi Narayan section. For Diwali pooja with Ganesh ji, look at the Ganesh idols too. Every murti is cast in brass and then finished by hand with chisel work, so the face, jewellery and lotus petals stay sharp.

Care

Wipe your murti with a soft dry cloth every week. For a dull piece, use lemon or tamarind, rinse and dry fully. Antique polish pieces only need dusting. Our guide on how to clean brass idols at home has the full steps.

Questions buyers ask

Which Laxmi murti is best for the home mandir?

A seated Laxmi Maa on a lotus is the form most homes keep, as she is believed to settle and stay where she sits. Standing forms are also fine.

Should Laxmi Maa sit alone or with Ganesh ji?

For Diwali pooja, most families keep Ganesh ji on Laxmi Maa's right side. For daily pooja, she can sit alone or with Lord Vishnu.

Is it Laxmi or Lakshmi?

Both are the same name with two spellings. You will see both on this page.

Are these idols solid brass?

Yes, they are cast in brass. The weight on each product page tells you how heavy the piece is.

Can I give a Laxmi murti as a gift?

Yes. A small Laxmi or Ganesh Laxmi murti is a common gift for Diwali, a griha pravesh or the opening of a new shop.

Take your time, look at the faces, and bring home the Laxmi Maa that feels right for your mandir.
